As your therapist, I am here to create a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental environment where you will feel comfortable to share your experiences. I believe that therapy is not only about addressing thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, but also helping you uncover strengths and learn new skills to deal with the challenges that arise in life. I am open to a holistic way of counselling, incorporating the body, mind, and soul and I like to work collaboratively with my clients to develop a plan that is tailored to specific needs.
I recently completed my Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality. I believe that therapy is not only about addressing thoughts, emotions and behaviours, but also about helping clients connect to something greater in themselves. I draw mostly from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and incorporate other modalities such as solution-focused therapy and mindfulness-based therapy, should a client want to do so. I specialize in working with individual clients experiencing depression, anxiety, family and work stress, low self-esteem, difficulties with assertiveness, and relationship issues.
