My approach to therapy is open and warm. I will work collaboratively with you to understand your concerns and we will create a treatment plan that best suits your goals for therapy.
I welcome clients who are experiencing a range of difficulties such as, interpersonal conflicts, depression, anxiety, obsessions/compulsions, sleep disturbances, posttraumatic stress, and work stress. I work from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model and when appropriate I incorporate strategies from other evidenced based modalities. I work within a culturally informed framework and I have a special interest in working with individuals from diverse populations.
I am currently in the fourth year of training in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program at the University of Ottawa. I have previous training experience working with individuals at the Ottawa Institute for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (OICBT) and at the Centre for Psychological Services and Research (CPSR). Here at the Centre for Change, I am pleased to be working under the supervision of Dr. Laura Nichols, Ph.D., C.Psych.
I am an avid researcher and continue to publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals and present at national and international conferences. I also work closely with undergraduate students wanting to do their final thesis under the direction of myself and my research supervisor.
I am looking forward to working with you!
